Gozitan sausage and bean stew
Maltese sausage and white beans together in tomato sauce.

Method
- Cut sausage into pieces and brown in oil. Set aside.
- Soften chopped onion and garlic in the same pot. Add tomato paste and tomatoes.
- Return sausage with water and bay and simmer 25 minutes.
- Add beans and cook another 10 minutes until sausage is cooked through. Add parsley and pepper.

Distinct from sausage in sauce: beans form a substantial part of the meal.
